Smartening Health Equity

PATH is a global nonprofit dedicated to achieving health equity. To close the inequity gaps, we operate in the entire value chain of public health - from epidemic preparedness, HIV/AIDS, and malaria tomaternal and newborn care, sexual and reproductive health, tuberculosis, and more. We translate innovative ideas into breakthrough vaccines, drugs, medical devices, diagnostics, digital tools, andinnovative approaches to strengthening health systems. PATH has developed 20+ medical devices and health technologies. A few examples of our innovations include vaccine vial monitor that has reached 7 billion vaccines and rice fortification technology and scale-up that has impacted 550 million people. PATH has partnered with vaccine researchers and manufacturers to co-develop and commercialize vaccines for meningitis, HPV, rotavirus, pneumococcal, Japanese encephalitis, typhoid, and malaria. PATH has also pioneered the development and introduction of numerous medical devices, diagnostics, and technologies in partnership with the private sector. These include Unijectwomen’s condoms, Nifty cup, and MSR community chorine maker, among others.  PATH operates in more than 70 countries across the world. Close to 150 million lives are improved by PATH’s work every year. More than 3,000 professionals work for PATH and its affiliates across the globe.
