The role of the KSHI Advisory Committee is to advise, assist, and support the KSHI to ensure that it is well-established and well-resourced with the needed expertise and materials to create an innovation platform that is able to attract highly qualified academics, scientists, and clinicians as well as to establish world-class training programs and a network of stakeholders (including universities, hospitals, industry, and start-ups) to drive precision medicine and to address the Kingdom’s current gaps in clinical care and research and development (R&D).

Professional Profile
She received her Ph.D. degree in Pharmacology from Harvard Medical School, after which she held the position of Senior Staff Scientist at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. in New York.
Since joining HKUST, she has served as the Dean of Science, Director of the Biotechnology Research Institute, and Head of the Department of Biochemistry.
